As you can see from the picture, I am optimistically starting our second day of physical therapy for Clayton's torticollis. He did so well yesterday!! I let him sleep in a bit because yesterday was very busy. He got up around 7:15. Chad and I consistently start Clayton's bedtime routine at 7:30, but his wake-up time varies greatly. Yesterday, he woke up at 5:30 and the day before 6:30. My plan is to wake him up at 6:30 everyday - however, I just didn't have the heart to do it this morning. I'm glad I didn't because he doesn't seem to enjoy his first session of the day. If I had started it at 6:30, he would've been even MORE miserable! He fatigued quickly this morning and then cried through the rest of the exercises. My poor little guy :( He had a short break in his sleep last night because I accidentally coughed. It woke him up and I rocked him back to sleep. I must say, though, that I laid him down drowsy last night for bed and in the middle of the night and he went to sleep on his own - baby steps, but steps nonetheless!!
Our plan today is to continue building consistency with our therapy sessions so that he knows what to expect. I also want to continue building his daily routine. At 11 we're going to go have lunch with Daddy like last week. It should be a nice break! At the moment, "Little Bit" is napping in his swaddle blanket. He was pooped when we finished a little while ago.
It is hard to believe that I'm headed back to work in 11 days. I know that it will be a nice transitional time for me, but summer can't get here fast enough!! I will definitely miss spending so much time with Clayton - those darn bills- he, he!! I'll post some pictures later in the day.
