First Day of Therapy

This morning, Clayton and I started his physical therapy regimen. I set up a schedule for our day so that he gets in around 5 sessions (here is our schedule: diaper change and play, bottle, therapy, nap, and repeat). He eats 6 bottles per day, so we're doing 3 hour cycles. I am trying to make it as fun as possible, but he is definitely worn out by the end. After he finishes his exercises, I swaddle (I call it "Mommy's big hug") him and give him lots of love. So far, he has taken a nap (1-2 hours) after each session. I definitely think that he will get less fussy during his stretches as we build more consistency. He will know more what to expect and won't feel as scared/mad. The PT paperwork said that working through new ranges of motion is uncomfortable and unfamiliar and must be done often for best results. Here is a video of his tummy time earlier this morning. He gets pretty hot during his exercises, so I have him in only a diaper. It is really sweet how Tilley jumps off of the couch to comfort Clayton when he gets fussy. I have such a special family!

Tilley is so sweet. If Clayton was here the cats would just run.
